Michelman & Robinson, LLP Opens New York Office  - Michelman & Robinson, LLP (Apr 07, 2009)

NEW YORK/LOS ANGELES – Michelman & Robinson, LLP (“M&R”) has announced the opening of its New York City office led by former Duval & Stachenfeld corporate partners, David Schwartz, Douglas Morea, and Charles Friedman.    David Schwartz will serve as the Managing Partner of M&R’s New York City office.  Douglas Morea will chair the Firm’s Corporate and Securities Department.
Sanford Michelman, the Firm’s Managing Partner commented, "Entering the New York City market, particularly with lawyers of the highest caliber like David, Doug and Charles, and the others, underscores our objective to grow strategically in selective markets throughout the country. We have been receiving tremendous demand from our clients to have an office in New York City. Fortunately, we are able to start this office with very talented lawyers whom we have worked with for many years, but also whom we consider friends.  They will be a tremendous nucleus to lead our New York City office, as we continue to grow this office. We have every reason to be excited about our prospects in the New York City market and look forward to a long and very successful future there.”

David Schwartz noted, “We are impressed with the professionalism and values of M&R’s lawyers and the culture of the firm.  The M&R lawyers pay a lot of personal attention to their clients, and this has resulted in tremendous client loyalty.  We look forward, as part of M&R, to offering our clients a significant new breadth and depth of services to meet their legal needs.  We expect to build a significant presence for the firm in New York and, toward that end, we continue to have discussions with other outstanding lawyers about their interest in coming on board.”

Douglas Morea agreed, saying, “We are very excited to be associated with a law firm as dynamic and sophisticated as M&R. We intend to increase the depth of our  Corporate and Securities Department and make it as first rate as the firm’s other significant practice groups. Our objective is to provide a full spectrum of corporate and securities legal services to both public and private middle-market businesses.”

With its move into New York City, M&R expands its already versatile group of attorneys to encompass a new team that bring incomparable experience, expertise, and industry savvy to the firm’s Corporate and Securities Department, and a dedication to providing their clients with the highest caliber of client service.

“The core of our philosophy is to provide quality work product to our clients and provide a comfortable and enjoyable place to work for all employees. We do not compare ourselves to other law firms, or even analyze how we stack up against them from a financial perspective.  Instead, we have our own defined culture.  Our clients recognize it and continue to request our services.  As a result, we had a banner year in 2008, and expect 2009 to be better than 2008,” says Dana Kravetz, Firm Administrative Partner.
