Claire Piorkowski

Claire Piorkowski is an associate in M&R’s New York office and member of the firm’s Class Action & Complex Litigation Practice Group. In that capacity, she helps litigate disputes from inception through trial in state and federal court and works on arbitrations and mediations as well. Toward that end, Claire handles pleadings, discovery (written and electronic), legal research, law and motion, and the like.

While a student at Cornell Law School, Claire was the Publishing Editor of the law review, in which her article, “Unequal Protection: Challenges to Serious Mental Illness Exemptions from the Death Penalty,” was published. She was also a Myron Taylor Scholar, awarded to students whose cumulative GPA placed them in the top 30 percent of their class after their second year, and recipient of the CALI Excellence for the Future Award in tort and employment law, among other courses.
